All Lay Ministers must be registered members of the Parish in good standing.
The Liturgy Committee of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, under the direction of the pastor, promotes and strengthens the spiritual well being and liturgical life of the parish family. The committee supports and develops the faith life of our community through word, sacrament, music, environment, and hospitality.
The current Liturgy Committee members include the coordinators of: Altar Servers, Bereavement, Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Music Ministry, Greeters, and Ushers.
The Liturgy Committee meets regularly with the Pastor to discuss plans for all Liturgies, with special emphasis on Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter, and the Feasts of St. Joseph and St. Francis.
A Children’s Mass is scheduled for 10:30 AM on the first Sunday of each month, October through June. We invite CCD and SAS students to participate as Readers, Ushers, Greeters and Singers. Readers and Ushers are chosen by CCD and SAS teachers. A rehearsal for Readers is arranged by a Lector after school for 1/2 hour, one afternoon prior to Reading. Students are encouraged to volunteer to be Greeters and Singers at the Children’s Mass.
